Minnesota barn fire kills 1,800 hogs

A fire over the weekend 1,800 hogs killed at a farm in western Minnesota.

According to a report by InForum, the blaze ripped across Spring Valley Farms in Stevens County, Minn., early Saturday morning. By the time fire crews arrived, flames had fully engulfed the barn.  

In addition to killing the hogs, the fire also caused nearly $700,000 in property damage. The building is considered a total loss.
