Workshops can provide valuable guidance and information for your pork production business, but they often require time away from managing that business. However, the University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension has released a series of workshops  on DVDs for pork producers.

The workshop series, “Improving Your Ability to Compete in the Pork Industry,” is available on a set of five DVDs, which hold nearly 19 hours of information, says Al Prosch, Pork Central coordinator for the University of Nebraska.

The DVDs feature pork industry experts addressing topics including: production management – from genetics and nutrition to transportation – marketing, risk management, recordkeeping, country-of-origin labeling, revenue insurance, facilities management, price management in and around contracts, and pork quality concerns in retail and processing.
