Air temperature is considered the most common component of the pig's thermal environment, which also includes air velocity and floor type, says Joe Zulovich, University of Missouri animal structures specialist.
The temperature range shown here is the thermanuclear range for the pig at various sizes. The thermanuclear temperature range is the temperature range that doesn't require an animal to adjust its feed consumption to maintain body temperature.
