Those interested in agri-marketing principles can spend a week exploring cutting-edge marketing tools and evaluating marketing problems in new ways. Veteran instructors Dave Downey, PurdueUniversity, and Tom Funk, University of Guelph, will lead participants through the seminar, scheduled for Oct. 22-26. It will be held at Purdue’s Center for Food and Agricultural Business in West Lafayette, Ind.

The program objectives include:

  • Provide agri-marketers with a new lens to analyze current market problems.
  • Explore new tools to evaluate strategy and make decisions.
  • Build a strategic model to analyze marketing decisions.
  • Examine market segmentation approaches and discuss the uses for each.

The seminar will explore such topics as Strategic Competitive Analysis, Bridging the Gap Between Sales and Marketing; and Tool Talk: Conjoint Analysis and Implementation of Marketing Strategies.
