The University of Minnesota Extension will host the 72nd Minnesota Nutrition Conference on Sept. 20-21 at the Holiday Inn in Owatonna, Minn. The event is a premier program for livestock nutritionists and feed industry professionals to update their knowledge of swine, beef, dairy, poultry and horse nutrition.

This popular educational event features the latest concepts in livestock feeding and nutrition presented by local and national researchers and industry professionals.

The program kicks off with a pre-conference symposium sponsored by the Minnesota Corn Growers Association.  Hans Stein, University of Illinois; Jeff Coulter, Hans Jung and Grant Crawford, University of Minnesota, will present topics on the theme “Corn — 2011 and Beyond.”

In the general session, faculty researchers, graduate students and Extension educators will present updates on livestock research underway at the University of Minnesota.

Day two of the conference offers three sessions running concurrently: Ruminant and Non-Ruminant Nutrition (full day), and Equine Nutrition (half day).
