Livestock producers, farmers, food processors, legislators and university personnel are all welcome at the Animal Agriculture Alliance’s 11th annual Stakeholders Summit set for May 2-3 in Arlington, Va. This year, the Alliance’s showcase event will explore “Real Farmers, Real Food: Celebrating Tradition and Technology.”

Tom Brand, executive director of the National Association of Farm Broadcasters, will act as the summit’s moderator.

Early registration for the 1.5-day event is $325 for Alliance members, $375 for non-members and $275 for individuals in government or academia. Registration materials and a full event schedule will be updated on the summit website at animalagalliance.org.

An adjunct legal workshop will be offered on May 3 to explore best practices when responding to activist-driven litigation. The workshop has an additional fee of $50 per person.

The Alliance’s summit will again take place at the Westin Arlington Gateway Hotel. Rooms are available at a special group rate of $239, which can be accessed on the hotel’s website or by calling (703) 717-6200.
