The fourth annual Animal Industry Report, summarizing animal research done at Iowa State University, is now available online and on CD-ROM.
“The research covers topics such as improving production efficiencies, environmental quality, animal-product quality and food safety,” says Maynard Hogberg, chair of Iowa State’s animal science department. “These are all important aspects of keeping animal agriculture strong and viable.”
A variety of professionals conducted the research for this report, including Iowa State faculty, staff and graduate students; visiting scholars; Iowa State Extension county and field staff; and professors and collaborators from other universities.
“The report combines reports from researchers on campus and in the state, including research that relates to the beef, dairy, poultry, sheep, goat and swine industries,” Hogberg says. “This year’s report is organized by species and also has sections on animal products, the environment and companion animals.”
It’s available online by following this link. To order a CD-ROM send $10 per disk to the Iowa Pork Industry Center, 109 Kildee, Iowa State University, Ames, IA 50011-3150; or call (515) 294-4103.
