Consumer demand for high-end pork is on the rise. To answer that call, Cargill Meat Solutions launched, an online site that enables foodservice and retail customers to order whole portions of Berkshire pork.

Available products include single-rib pork belly, pork tenderloin, loin-back ribs, center-cut rack of pork, boneless pork cellar-trimmed butt and boneless pork loin.
Chefs and butchers can order whole cuts of Berkshire pork and cut them to their own specifications to fit their customers’ preferences.

“I love working with a company that gives us the flexibility of cutting our own pork chops and tenderloins for our customers,” says Russ Muehlberger, executive chef, EBT Restaurant in Kansas City.

The Web site also offers customers a history of Berkshire pork, recipes and answers to frequently asked questions.

“Consolidation is a powerful force in agriculture, especially the pork industy; and technology is a key driver.”
