To maximize pork promotions, the National Pork Board surveyed consumers on their Easter-related food traditions. Consumers said their leading plan was to celebrate Easter by sharing a traditional meal with as few as four, or more than 10 people.

Half of the random sample of 1,212 men and women eat their Easter meal at lunch, 35 percent have brunch and 14 percent have dinner. NPB is using this research to develop Easter-based pork promotions. For example, NPB will develop three recipes that address the different Easter meal times that consumers noted.
