Pork producers can attend a three-session short course on sow reproductive management next month. The Sow Management Short Course, broadcast from the University of Missouri, will be hosted at three Missouri locations (Linn, Marshall and Mexico)  on Dec. 5, 12 and 19 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Cost for the three-night short course is $25 per farm. The registration deadline is Nov. 28.

Program topics include reproductive anatomy and sow physiology, sow nutrition, boar management considerations, gilt isolation and acclimation, gilt development and sow reproductive management. Livestock and swine specialists from Ohio State University, University of Missouri and University of Illinois will present the information.
