The Midwest Pork Conference has been redesigned into a one-day conference, says Sherrill Rude, MPC manager.  “After reviewing the 2002 event, the MPC organizing committee determined that a one-day educational conference best suits producer and allied industry needs,” she notes.

The third annuall MPC is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2003, in Indianapolis at the Indianapolis Marriott East Hotel.

The one-day educational-focused meeting will include a luncheon, general session, keynote speaker and allied industry table-top exhibits.

“We will continue to have three educational tracks focusing on pork management, production and business strategies,” says Rude.

Just ahead of MPC, on Sept. 9, the Midwest Swine Nutrition Conference will be held at the same hotel. This meeting, sponsored by five Midwest land-grant university swine departments, features the latest swine nutrition research information.

Registration information and the MPC program will be available on the event Web site, www.midwestpork.com.  For more information call the Indiana Pork Producers Association at (800) 535-2405.
