Americans live fast-paced lives — maybe too fast — so convenience is the driving factor when deciding where to go for that on-the-run food-buying decisions. A new survey from the research firm Packaged Facts looked at Americans' desire for foods designed to be eaten away from home and on the run.

The report, called "On-the-Go Eating In the United States" looked at a variety of factors, including a product's healthfulness, price and taste, which all also carry weight. But convenience continues to drive this area.

According to Packaged Facts, 65 percent of consumers say they want to eat healthier, but 33 percent don't have time to prepare or eat healthy meals.
