Site assessment and compliance reviews are a few of the services that a new environmental consulting company plans to offer in Indiana. The difference with this company is that it is owned by the Indiana Farm Bureau and run by the IFB's environmental and regulatory affairs specialist, Brian Daggy.

In addition to helping livestock producers get confined feeding permits for their operations, the new company will offer its services for pesticides, fuel, fertilizer and other on-farm environmental concerns.

Anyone can hire the company, but Indiana Farm Bureau members get a discount on the fee. Daggy says a farm that has some livestock and possibly some storage of fuel, fertilizer and pesticides could anticipate a fee in the range of $1,000-$2,000.

For more information about the service, call IFB at (317) 692-7835.
