As corn-based ethanol production increases around the country, so does the availability of distillers dried grains. While DDGS can be a useful feed-grain byproduct, it’s not a simple, automatic exchange.

Now, the National Corn Growers Association has a new publication for livestock producers who are interested in learning more about the DDGS feeding prospects.

Based on research conducted at several leading universities, it contains feeding recommendations for hogs, beef, dairy and poultry herds. You can download the publication at: http://www.ncga.com/ethanol/pdfs/111005DGFeedingRecommendations.pdf
