U.S. pork exports finished 2016 strong, with December exports coming in 15% higher than volumes in 2015, according a recent U.S. Department of Agriculture Livestock, Dairy and Poultry report. Total pork exports for 2016 came in at 5.2 billion lbs.

For the second year in a row, Mexico held the top spot, importing 31% of the U.S. pork export share.
