Here’s one song sure to get your feet a’tapping. The Essex Young Farmers, a UK-based group of farmers and ag-supporters, created a charity single with the hopes to break into the UK Top 40 Hits.
Their song, “Put That Hoedown,” hoped to celebrate young farmers while raising money to aid NFYFC’s Rural+ Campaign. The campaign aims to raise awareness of rural isolation and mental health issues in young people and support those who suffer from, or are affected by them.
“Music in particular is a proven mental boost. It can help create a positive mindset so it feels like quite an apt thing to be doing for those charities,” the group said on their website.
As of May 5, they met their goal – reaching as high as #33 on the UK charts.
