With few exceptions, bacon almost always makes food taste better. WIRED partnered with Food Network last year to analyze nearly 50,000 recipes and more than 900,000 comments for a fascinating overview of how Americans cook (and eat).

All recipes in general were rated higher when bacon was included, but in particular, some recipes in particular saw rave reviews thanks the addition of bacon, including:

  • Sandwiches
  • Asparagus
  • Lettuce
  • Kale
  • Spinach Salad

Of course, not all bacon-filled recipes were a hit. Pasta and dessert recipes were often rated lower when bacon was added.
