It all started with one #RealPigFarming picture posted on Instagram by Kansas pig farmer Jodi Morton showing a sow and piglet.

The photo prompted one person to ask Morton, “What do you mean farming?”

This question turned into an exchange that helped bring awareness to what pork producers do.

As Morton said, “I am a pork producer also known as pig farming. Trying to show how we care for our animals and raise a nutritious and quality meat.”

#RealPigFarming is a social media campaign sponsored by the National Pork Board. It encourages the nation’s pork producers to share photos and experiences online using the hashtag, #RealPigFarming. Click here for more information.
