Like many of you, I grew up a in a meat and potatoes kind of household. That’s why I spent my rebellious teenage years as a vegetarian, but that’s a story for a different day. The point – I know baked potatoes.

So when you voted for this recipe, it was returning to my past.

I was so, so wrong. It’s nothing like the plain baked potato I knew growing up. Instead, thanks to bacon and a little brown sugar, it turns into this glorious combination of sweet and salty goodness.

Now, there is a disclaimer – this recipe involves cooking potatoes. It’s not something that doesn’t take much time. Though it says “grilled,” I cooked mine in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 45 minutes and finished it on the grill.
