CrossFit athletes and fans are going hog wild for bacon developed by an unlikely company – Reebok.
That's right: Reebok, a company better known for its athletic shoes and clothing, is getting into the bacon business.
According to Fox News, Reebok recently announced its own bacon products developed especially for CrossFit athletes. To fit in accordance with the CrossFit code, the bacon is made without the use of nitrates, preservatives, MSG, or sweeteners and is smoked rather than cured.
Reebok’s bacon was packaged and distributed to attendees of the recent 2014 Reebok CrossFit Games. A food truck was stationed at the event to hand out bacon-based menu items including bacon-wrapped artichokes and bacon-wrapped chorizo-stuffed dates.
The food truck, dubbed the Reebok Bacon Box, was a popular stop at the CrossFit Games:
