There’s a new top dog according to Guinness World Records – top hot dog, that is.
According to NBC News, Seattle-based Tokyo Dog food truck recently earned a Guinness World Record for the most expensive hot dog. Guinness noted the ingredient list for the foot-long frank would make “a Michelin-starred chef blush.”
The previous record holder was the 18-inch California Capitol City Dawg, which sold for $145.49 at Capitol Dawg in Sacramento, Calif.
Tokyo Dog’s Juuni Ban includes a smoked cheese bratwurst served on a brioche bun with a plethora of gourmet toppings including butter Teriyaki grilled onions, Maitake mushrooms, Wagyu beef, foie gras, shaved black truffles, caviar and Japanese mayonnaise.
The Juuni Ban was first introduced in February. All proceeds from the sale go to the American Red Cross. So far more than $1,00 has been donated.
