First, let me say how happy I am to be working with Vance Publications as editor of PorkNetwork. This is an exciting opportunity to build upon the great foundation that has been established by the talented individuals who’ve preceded me. Without their diligent efforts to address industry issues and provide cutting edge information, we wouldn’t have the No. 1 daily newsletter for pork producers, nor would we have the high level of industry respect and credibility that’s evident.

Our mission now is to take PorkNetwork and make it even more customer-focused and valuable to your business. You will see more blogs from industry leaders, including nutritionists, veterinarians, producers and other association/agri-business spokespeople. You will see us at more industry events, capturing your comments in audio and video, and providing a forum for animated discussions on important issues and topics.

More than anything, we want your involvement. Through meaningful conversations, we’ll expand our level of knowledge and move closer to solutions that will help the pork industry move forward. We’ll likely take controversial positions or ask uncomfortable questions at times, but we’re willing to “get out on a limb” if it brings us closer to consensus.

Your job is to tell us how we’re doing. Let us know what you like, what you don’t like and how we can become even more relevant to your business. My email is, and I’ll be disappointed if I don’t hear from you!
